Astoria Fisherman's Scarf (Crochet)
2023 Slow Yarn Crawl pattern from Candy Skein Yarn & Crafts!
How’s that? A yarn crawl? Yep - even if you can’t travel, or shops aren’t able to open yet, we’re on: the Slow Crawl is virtual again this year, too! That actually means you can join in from anywhere!
Get a passport from this shop or other participating shops (they’re $10)
Starting May 26th, visit all the shops - online, or safely in person
Each participating shop will give you the download codes for their pattern and a sticker or stamp for your passport (purchase required for virtual “visits”)
Fill up your passport, and be eligible for prizes!
Astoria is a fishing town. I was inspired to design this cowl for those out in the cold, whether on the sea or in town. You can wear it wrapped once for a long neckline or twice for a snug soft fit.
Difficulty Level:
Size:
Yarn: Estimated 300-325 yards worsted weight yarn. Sample is made with Cascade 220 SW Merino colorway 42
Hook: Size K hook (I am a tight crocheter. You may want to use a J hook or smaller to get gauge).
Gauge: 24 sts x 18 rows over 4”. Gauge isn’t super important with this project, so just make sure you like the texture of your project.
Notions: Darning needle
