Astrantia Shawl
This PDF pattern is included for FREE on Plyful.
The Astrantia Shawl was named after the lovely, colorful flowers that bloom in spring. They come in all sorts of colors, including stripes with a lovely hue effect, making them the perfect namesake for this shawl. Astrantia, the shawl, is a wide shawl that can be made as a scarf or wider. Its shape is easy to wear around the shoulders and neck, and the way the colors transition creates stripes that produce an effective fade effect. With its easy construction and meditative stitch pattern, it is a very enjoyable project. Astrantia will definitely brighten your wardrobe while keeping you nice and cozy!

GAUGE
21 sts x 13 rows in patt worked flat with 4 mm hook after blocking = 10 cm x 10 cm / 4 x 4 in.
Be sure to block and check gauge before starting by making a big enough gauge swatch (at least 15 x 15 cm). Certain materials might sag, and fabric may extend too much with weight, so adjust hook size appropriately.
Achieving the right gauge is recommended to make a shawl in the measurements stated in this pattern. However, given that this is NOT a garment pattern, gauge is not as important. Therefore, use your gauge swatch to confirm that you like the fabric created with the hook and yarn combo you have chosen to work with, and adjust as necessary. Yarn amounts required will vary with differente gauges.
