The sloping curve commences from a centre cast on and radiates outward to create a crescent-shaped shawl that is easy to style in multiple ways, making this a wonderful accessory as well as a fun knit. The shawl is designed to make the most of a gorgeous gradient mini skein set.
The pattern also includes directions to work a striped version, which looks equally wonderful with two solid colours or a solid colour and a colour change yarn, or to use up all those leftovers to create your own stellar explosion.
The pattern includes a link to the (captioned) Astria Shawl video tutorial as several techniques are used that may be new to you. The tutorial includes an overview of the project, includes casting on, picking up the edge stitches and blocking tips.
