This standard-fitting dress is knitted in featherlight mohair with contrasting edgings. The pieces are worked separately, then seamed together. Waist shaping and a button-front closure add to the visual sleekness. Instructions are provided for a shorter tunic length for an alternative look.

Finished Size About 35 (38¾, 43, 46¾, 51, 54¾)“ (89 98.5, 109, 118.5, 129.5, 139 cm) bust circumference, including 1” (2.5 cm) front band. Designed to be worn with about 3” (7.5 cm) of positive ease at the bust. Dress shown measures 35” (89 cm).

Yarn Rowan Kidsilk Haze (70% super kid mohair, 30% silk; 229 yd 209 m/25 g): #652 Mud (MC, medium golden brown), 6 (7, 8, 8, 9, 10) balls for dress length; 5 (5, 6, 7, 7, 8) balls for tunic length; Louisa Harding Grace Silk & Wool (50% silk, 50% merino; 110 yd 101 m/50 g): #44 Frenchie (CC, blue), 2 (2, 3, 3, 3, 3) balls for dress length; 2 balls all sizes for tunic length. Fingering-weight (#1 Super Fine) and DK weight (#3 Light).

Needles Body and sleeves: size U.S. 3 (3.25 mm); Edging: size U.S. 6 (4 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers (m), removable markers, tapestry needle, ten ¾“ (2 cm) buttons for dress length; seven ¾” (2 cm) buttons for tunic length.
