Very small crochet caps are all the rage Just now. What a heaven-sent vogue it is for the girl who is handy with her fingers. In a couple of hours she can conjure a new cap, and for the very small cost of sixpence half-penny—cheap for a cute little model such as you see here, isn’t it?

These new caps are worn on the back of the head, leaving the forehead and the front of the hair revealed; naturally, they look their best on girls whose hair frames the face with soft waves, but they are so universally becoming that I do not think you need fear much as to whether they will suit you.

To make the model illustrated, you’ll need 1 oz. of 4-ply fingering, and if you want a contrasting border, a very small ball or oddment of another colour; the model is made in chestnut brown with one narrow broken row of cerise. Use a bone crochet hook, No. 10.
