This simple sweater is knit from the bottom up in the round, after asymmetrical hems are worked, then joined together. The sleeves are knit separately in the round and sewn to the body before knitting the collar.

NEEDLES and NOTIONS
29” circular needles, sizes 6 (4.00 mm) and 8 (5.00 mm) or size to obtain gauge
16” circular needle, size 6 (4.00 mm) (for collar)
1 set (4) each double pointed needles (dpns), sizes 6 (4.00 mm) and 8 (5.00 mm)

GAUGE
18 sts and 25 rows = 4” in St st on larger needles (before blocking)
17 sts and 24 rows = 4” in St st on larger needles (after blocking)

NOTE
The back ribbing is 2” longer than the front. Ribbing of back and front is worked flat, then joined. Body is then worked in the round to underarms, then front and back are divided and worked separately in rows. Sleeves are worked in the round to underarm, then sleeve caps are worked flat and sewn into the armholes.
