August - Milky Magpie
The August 2019 pattern of the month eight Maids a Milking Magpie…
Weather the 12 gifts were literal or symbolic references to more feathered creatures is up for debate, but I am having so much fun designing and knitting birds I chose to continue with the theme.
The Magpie has a milky white breast and iridescent plumes and symbolize good luck and intelligence.
Finished birds stand anywhere from 4” to 6 inches high depending on weight of yarn. Knit up a whole flock today!
