GENERAL INFORMATION:

Autumn Braid is a sweater with special rustic feel. It combines best of both worlds of lace and cables into an unusual chunky braid at the front panel. It is further elevated by twining cabled leaves to underline the rustic feeling and connection with nature.

SIZES:

Sizes 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) to fit a chest circumference of: 76-81 (86-91, 97-102, 107-112, 117-122, 127-132, 137-142, 147-152, 157-162) cm / 30-32 (34-36, 38-40, 42-44, 46-48, 50-52, 54-56, 58-60, 62-64) in

CONSTRUCTION:

The sweater is knitted in the round, bottom up to the armholes then split into front and back and knitted flat up to the neckline. Neckline and shoulder drop are formed using short rows technique. The neckline is finished in simple rib neckband. Sleeves are picked up around armholes and worked fitted until ¾ length. These can easily be adapted to desired length (short, bracelet, long).
The front panel includes big lacy cables, which require some skills to complete but without being too challenging.

The construction provides for an ease of approx. 8-10 cm / 3.25”-4” for body and approx. 5 cm / 2” for sleeves.

YARN:

The pattern is intended for worsted weight yarn. The recommended yarn – Stenliyarn Donut Monochrome, being a mohair/cotton/wool blend adds rustic feel both to the touch and to the sight.
Number of skeins necessary for Stenli Yarns Donut Monochrome (in skeins of 150 gr): 2 (3; 3; 3; 3; 4; 4; 4; 4)
