This hat uses an interesting stitch pattern and multicoloured yarn to great effect.

The hat is knitted in the round from the brim to the top. The brim is worked in 2x2 ribbing, the body of the hat is worked using a textured pattern with short-rows to create wavy lines. The pattern
enhances gradient yarns or yarns changing colours in long segments.

18 sts x 28 rnds = 10 cm / 4” measured over Stockinette stitch
18 sts x 18 rnds = 10 cm /4” measured in short-row pattern
Please note: If you work a tension swatch, make sure to knit several repeats of the textured pattern. Because of the enlarged sections and the waviness, it is essential to even out the pattern. Keep in mind that each round with short-row sections will show as 5 rows in these sections.
