Autumn Leaves Shawl
Autumn Leaves is the 3rd in a series of four shawls that I have called the Four Seasons Collection.
Please check this Shuttermonkey Designs Discussion Thread to find out the latest discounts and/or promotions currently running on my designs.
This is a triangular shaped shawl, worked in two pieces, from the bottom up. The leafy edging of the shawl is knitted first. Then after picking up stitches along the side of this edging, the tree patterned border is knitted before moving onto the trellis pattern of the shawl body.
Instructions for the shawl are provided in both written and charted format.
The design for this Autumn Leaves Shawl was inspired by the four seasons. I live in the northern hemisphere where we are currently enjoying our autumn season. The leaves are changing to the most beautiful shades of yellow, red and brown and falling from the trees.
I have used Merino Superwash 4ply yarn by Old Maiden Aunt to knit this shawl in a shade called Cinnamon. This yarn is just perfect for knitting a shawl as colourful and vibrant as autumn leaves.
