“For the Autumn Wreath I decided to go for something a little different from my usual autumn makes of oak leaves and acorns,” muses Kate. “Our garden at home is surrounded with an ancient beech hedge and watching the colours changing come autumn is the first sign that it’s time to start getting cosy indoors. Beech leaves are a great foundation for this wreath. I also wanted to create the feeling of a woodland floor, so lots of little toadstools fitted the bill and to finish, I added some Michaelmas daisies, a true harvest flower.”
