A drapey and gorgeous cowl using Autumn (Fall) shades of James Brett Marble Chunky, or two strands of your favourite sock yarn, we chose Austermann step and Schoeller Fortissima Mexico Flower Colours.

The chunky cowl uses a 6mm hook and the sock yarn version uses a 5.5mm hook. Worked bottom up and in the round. The longer cowl makes the most of the long colour repeats of the Brett Marble chunky but you would use Noro Kogarashi or any colour changing chunky if you prefer.

Pattern designed by our friend Jacqui Turner (a very talented lady) for Woolly Madly Deeply.

There are two versions of the file to download, the larger one with much clearer images for those who want to follow the tutorial and see all the details. The smaller file has less clear images but all the same instructions for the experienced crocheter who just wants to get on with it :-) If you have any questions, do get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.

Finished cowl measures 68cm folded in half lengthways and 24cm width.
