Aventurine socks are your solution to variegated yarns — the slip-stitch pattern helps break up pooling and creates intriguing texture. The pattern is offered in four sizes so you can knit these up for both the women & men in your life. These socks are knit from the top down with a traditional heel flap and gusset construction. Pick out your favorite hand-painted sock yarn, or choose a semi-solid for a more subdued look.

This pattern assumes knowledge of working in the round. Both charts and written directions are provided for all stitch patterns.

Special Sizing Notes: The slip-stitch Aventurine Pattern creates a tighter fit that does not have very much stretch. If you are a tight knitter, or if you are unsure of what size to choose, please consider knitting one size larger to achieve a comfortable fit.

Suggested Yarn: Skeined Alive Cashmere Blend Fingering, or other fingering / sock weight yarn that knits to gauge.
