Meet the Azalea Bandana, a pretty floral crochet pattern that is quick to make and easy to customize. The repeating flower stitch creates a delicate lace design, finished with a simple picot edging.

One of my favorite things about this pattern is that you only need one ball of yarn to make the bandana. You can use fingering, DK or worsted-weight yarn, so it’s also a great project for using yarn you already have at home.

Wear it as a traditional hair bandana, tie it around your neck as a lightweight scarf, or add more pattern repeats to make a larger hip scarf. Worsted-weight yarn will make the finished bandana feel a little heavier when worn over your head, but it works beautifully as a scarf. You could also use wool to create a cozy version for autumn or winter.

Once you get into the repeat, the flowers begin to appear quickly, making this such an enjoyable project to work on. Choose your favorite yarn and colour and make the Azalea Bandana completely your own!
