This shawl was inspired by the ornate ceiling of Commerce Court North in Toronto. The expansive blue and golden ceiling in the banking hall is overwhelming.

This shawl is reversible, with stockinette and reverse stockinette sections within the lace pattern.

The lace stitches are only worked on right-side rows. The lace pattern is available in both written and chart form.

The width can be adjusted in increments of 18 stitches. The length can be adjusted by changing the number of times the chart is worked.

Pattern is worked with both yarns held together throughout.

Catherine Lowe yarns are sold in increments of 100 yd / 91.5 m, not by weight or by the skein. Each yarn used is equivalent to cobweb lace weight, when held together they are equivalent to a lace weight. This pattern uses 11 units each of Alpaca #1 and Silk #1.
