This fun, lightweight hat has a whimsical basket weave lattice pattern crossing over fluffy single crochet stitches that work up quickly. Adapting well to display a range of painted colorways, this hat is a great partner for a stubborn skein that might be too complex for a lace shawl. Using different stitches along the way, the length of yarn needed for each round changes, meaning fewer unintended pooling moments.

The hat is photographed in S/M, size L/XL requires two changes as noted, in the dome section and at the end of the lattice section.
