ABOUT THE PATTERN
The Babushka Bandana is worked from the bottom up in twisted rib stitch on circular needles. To be worn on the head or around the neck, this bandana is ideal for adding a touch of spring to your outfits.
YARN AND MATERIALS
Approx. 100 g of Peer Gynt from Sandness Garn (50 g = 91 m, 100% Norwegian Wool, Color n° 8236 Jelly Bean Green)
Circular needles 3 mm 80 cm
Circular or double pointed needles 3.5 mm
Circular needles 4 mm 80 & 100 cm
Tapestry needle
GAUGE
Pre blocked gauge: 24.5 sts x 29 rows = 10 x 10 cm in twisted rib, on needle size 4 mm
Post blocked gauge: 23 sts x 29 rows = 10 x 10 cm in twisted rib, on needle size 4 mm
Make a swatch to achieve the same gauge as indicated above – wash and block your swatch. Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm = 4”, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm = 4”, change to a smaller needle size.
