Following the success of my Alpacas on a Hat pattern I decided to design a smaller alpaca picture motif to fit on a baby sized hat!
This hat has a ribbed welt and a stocking stitch body with the stranded colour-work alpaca repeat pattern encircling the lower section of the hat body. The hat pictured is worked using a lovely soft wool silk mix yarn in DK/light worsted weight and can be topped with a pompom.

The pattern instructions are written for both knitting flat on two needles with a seam at the back or knitting in the round using a circular needle with no seaming necessary. (You may, therefore, only wish to print the appropriate pages for your project.)

The hats pictured are made up in the first size.
