You can substitute any yarn and hook for this stitch pattern - just remember when you substitute if your gauge is different, the finished size of your project will also be different.

This bookmark is being used by my daughter in her library books - most of which are hard covered and thicker sheets of paper. I do not think this bookmark will work very well in regular paperback novels because it is a bit ‘thick’.
