For a boy, simply leave off the flower, or replace it with a decorative button~super cute either way.

Sized for Newborn-3 mos ONLY.

I would recommend using a regular worsted weight yarn on this project. I tried it with a light worsted weight (Caron Simply Soft, and Red Heart Soft) and the pieces seem too small. Models were created with Deborah Norville Everyday, and Red Heart Super Saver for the button and flowers.
1 skein of Deborah Norville was sufficient for making all base pieces.
