This hat is based on one worn by character Dr. Sara Jordan in the Sci Fi TV show “Helix” - Season 1, Episode 9 (Level X). It takes place in a super secret Artic location outside of international jurisdiction, so she needs a warm hat!

Its such a cute hat that I stopped paying attention to the show and started working on how I could make that hat. Its totally unisex, looks good on men as well as women.

I used a tubular cast on (linky) , but you certainly could use any other cast on that you prefer. The pattern stitch is k1, p1, k1, p1, k1, p5; across the row, a multiple of 10 if you need to change sizing.

Make it longer to make it slouchier, shorten it and it will look more like the one in the TV show.
