A sweater simple and comfortable enough to wear 365 days a year.
Deep half-brioche ribbing makes this sweater extra snuggly, especially around the belly.

For knitters who are comfortable with knits and purls, increases and decreases, picking up and knitting stitches, the backwards loop cast on, working in the round, and Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-off.

Knit in the round from the bottom hem to the armholes. Front and back are then separated and worked flat through the rolled neckline. Shoulders are seamed before picking up sleeve stitches and knitting them in the round to the cuffs. Minimal seaming required.

The fit is meant to be loose and boxy and comfortable for baby. Because of the modern silhouette, you may want to choose yarn with some texture and structure.
