In 2024, I became a grandmother for the first time. While the idea for this blanket came after I published my book, “12 Months of Knitting,” it didn’t come into fruition until Baby Eleanor entered my life. I hope your heart is as filled as mine when you make this for your special little baby.

Note: Some of the Blue Sky Alpaca colors are discontinued but try some of their others and let your creative juices flow! Otherwise, find a similar yarn giving you 5-6 stitches per inch gauge to make up a 4x4 granny square and you’ll be on your way to making a very rewarding little blanket for your special baby to be or one whose just arrived into the world.
