Bachi Bag
The Bachi Bag is a customizable (for size) bag that is knitted in the round from the bottom up. You knit the bottom panel, then pick up stitches around the edges and join in a tube. There is a stockinette closing “flap” with I-cord ties. The instructions are detailed enough to guide color striping to be done 2x2 avoiding 1 or 3 row(s) of a single color.
Here’s a great site with video of my chosen casting on method.
New (prettier) photos will be added when weather permits. For now, I have published the pattern with what I have. I don’t want to hold things up just for improved photography.
Bachi are the sticks used in Japanese Taiko drumming. I have a couple of friends who enjoy doing Taiko, and I myself am a fan. I will not get this right, but Bachi are pronounced something like Botch-E.
