Bag of Stripes
you can find this pattern for free on my website www.knittingburg.co.uk
This is quite an easy pattern but with a few interesting techniques to keep you on your toes.
The bottom of the bag is worked using Tunisian crochet. Tunisian crochet knit stitch looks like regular knitted knit stitch but the resulting fabric is much denser than knitted fabric hence making the bottom of the bag sturdier.
The sides of the bag are seamed together rather than knitted in a round to give the bag more structure.
The yarn I used, Drops Loves You 5 is a great value yarn making this bag a very affordable project.
You can find the pattern either on my website or download a pdf. The website does have a few more pictures to help along.
If you have any questions, suggestions or corrections, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Thank you!
