Bagamoyo is an old Swahili coastal town about an hour’s drive from Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. These days it’s pretty chill but the architecture harkens back to a time when it was the bustling major port city on the mainland. Most of the work on this pattern was done while stuck in Dar traffic dreaming of a lazy weekend away wandering around Old Bagamoyo.
