The Baklava Tunic is a worsted-weight sweater that can be finished as a tunic with a split hem or as a sweater dress with the entire sides seamed together. It has diagonal textures, a boat neck, and dropped sleeves. The boxy fit, requiring minimal shaping, is offset with fitted sleeves that also feature the diagonal texture on the cuffs. The tunic is knit flat in pieces. The shoulders are joined with a 3-needle bind off and the sides are seamed. Sleeves and the neckline are picked up are knit in the round. This design is all about diagonal textures, inspired by baklava pastry which is typically sliced diagonally for an elegant presentation.

This garment is designed to be worn with 4-10” of positive ease, so choose a size with a finished bust measurement that is 4-10” larger than your bust measurement

Directions are given for size A (B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I) with a finished bust measurement of 36 (40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 64, 68) inches. Sample shown is size F, modeled with 4.5 inches of positive ease.
