To hunt fish, the eagle swoops down over the water and snatches its prey with its talons. They eat by holding the fish in one claw and tearing the flesh with the other.

Bald Eagle is worked in the round from its neckline all the way through to the tip of the tail feathers. The jagged edge at the bottom of the legs is created with a picot bind-off.

Stitches are picked up for the head, which has the option of facing forward or to the side. Wings are worked separately and seamed to the finished body. The finished eagle is about 13” tall and 6” wide.
