Banais socks
The Banais (Gaelic for Wedding) is designed to celebrate the symbols of love and marriage. You’ll find the Trinity Stitch representing the Holy Trinity, Marriage Lines representing the ups and downs of marriage, Links of Love, and a Tree of Life.
Instructions for knitting each sock both from the cuff down and from the toe up are included for each style. Although each method of construction, whether cuff down or toe up, produces a similar sock, there are subtle differences and making one of each would not make a matching pair. Panels are used in most and it may be helpful to place stitch markers between each panel.
These patterns are for the intermediate knitter.
