Bandaí na Laochra (Warrior’s Bands) is part of my Ardee Collection. This four-piece collection is inspired by the battle between Cú Chulainn and Ferdia in the Irish epic Táin Bó Cúailnge (“Cattle Raid of Cooley”). The entire collection uses super chunky yarn and Celtic motifs to depict the two warriors and the landscape. The inspiration for this pattern is a band that warriors might wear in their hair or on their wrist.

These bands work up quickly, and are perfect for using up any leftover yarn(s). The pattern is written so that the length can be easily customised. A provisional cast on and kitchener stitch make for a seamless finish.
