Bandonnaci
The idea for this sweater began with a simple design challenge. I wanted to create a series of vertical bands descending from one shoulder down the front, each with a different width and length. The widths follow the opening numbers of the Fibonacci sequence 1, 2, 3, 5, and 8 stitches, which naturally led to the mash-up name: Bandonacci.
After some research and experimentation for working intarsia in the round, I’m delighted with how this design came together, and I hope you enjoy knitting and wearing Bandonacci as much as I enjoyed creating it.
