Since my crochet Banjo has been very popular I thought I’d design a knitted version of him for those who can’t crochet.

Banjo is 40cm / 15.5in Standing. Approximately.

To make him you will need,

Hayfield Bonus DK Yarn
55g 947 Chocolate / Brown
43g 598 Champagne / Peach
19g 969 Bluebell / Blue
16g 0574 Cornfield / Yellow
6g 098 Ladybird / Red
3g 961 White
10g 965 Black
2g 0559 Platinum / Light grey

You will also need:
1 pair of 3.75mm (UK 9 – USA 5) knitting needles
2x15mm Black safety eyes
Yarn needle
Toy filler
Any size crochet hook for attaching the hair (optional)

Notes: Each piece is worked flat then seamed.

Tension/Gauge
20sts and 20 rows to 10cm, 4in, over stocking stitch using 3.75mm needles or the size required to give the correct tension.
Although tension/gauge is not important it will affect the overall size of your finished toy.
