The inspiration for Banú comes from a small village in Ireland that was once a thriving medieval town. This design brings together the ancient and the modern—linking the past to the present.

The pattern consists of two cable panels flanked by broken rib stitch with a center panel of broken rib. The cable to the right on the scarf is a repeat of a basic diamond with an elongated rope cable connecting the diamonds. The cable to the left on the scarf has a repeat of the elongated rope cable with one diamond motif at the center of the scarf. The stitch pattern instructions are both written and charted.
