This is an easy, super quick, stash-buster pattern for these very cute ‘barefoot sandals’. You can also wear these with your flip flops for some extra flair. The pattern includes directions for 2 different designs.

At less than 10 grams of yarn needed per pair, these sandals are a great way to use up leftover sock yarn or try out new colors/brands of other fingering weight yarn. Make the ties longer and you can criss-cross them further up your leg too – what a fun look for the beach this summer!

The pattern is written for sock yarn/fingering yarn, but you can also use sport weight cotton yarn (i.e. Patons Grace or Sinfonia) with good results. Worsted weight cotton yarn will need adjustments.

Only basic stitches are used: chains, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet. Great pattern for beginners!
