Barista Beanie
I designed this slouchy beanie hat inspired by my new part-time job in a café-deli which serves amazing coffee! I chose the alpaca wool from Adagio Mills for its softness and its café influenced names; latte, chai, chocolate indulgence … the perfect combination for a barista hat!
This is an intermediate level pattern and is written in UK and US terms. It was originally an exclusive pattern for the August 2018 Crate Crochet Australia subscription box.
The hat is worked in 6 distinct sections. Starting with the brim which is crocheted in rows and joined to form a band, these rows are then worked into at a 90 degree angle, in rounds. Then, back to working in rows across the hat to create the first ribbed band. This process is repeated before going back to rounds, decreasing for the crown. The ties are worked at the end and close the hat off neatly at the crown.
All my patterns are thoroughly tested, and in this case it was also made by many subscription box recipients with no issues arising. If you do encounter a problem, simply message me and I will try my best to help you.
