The pattern calls for a size 7 steel crochet hook and DMC Cebeila size 10 crochet thread.

One ball of crochet thread is more than sufficient.

Rounds 1-3 = 1 ¼ inches in diameter

There are instructions for a nine inch doily, and a five inch coaster.
