Baroque Violet Cowl
Chunky and luxurious Baroque Violet surrounds you in perfect harmony. Its silky fabric creates supple drape, encased in elegant ribbing.
This cowl can be worked in several gauges, and includes instructions for 3 yarn weights super bulky, bulky and aran/worsted yarn weights. The generous height of the larger cowl will allow you to pull it over your head or over your shoulders. Both charted and written instructions are included in the pattern.
Materials:
Suitable for single ply merino and merino blends with silk, alpaca, mohair.
Super bulky weight as Madelinetosh ASAP. Sample shown in Baroque Violet colorway.
Bulky weight as Malabrigo Mecha.
Aran/Worsted weight as Cultivated Silk by Tess’ Designer Yarns.
Yarn requirements:
Super bulky weight: ~ 230 (350) yds or 210 (320) m
Bulky weight: ~ 280 (400) yds or 260 (370) m
Aran/Worsted weight: ~ 320 (480) yds or 290 (440) m
Gauge & Needles:
Super bulky weight: 10 sts/ 16 rnds on US 13 (9 mm) needles
Bulky weight: 14 sts/ 20 rnds on US 9 (5.5 mm) needles
Aran/Worsted weight: 18 sts/ 24 rnds on US 8 (5 mm) needles
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
