Start this cowl with a crochet chain provisional cast-on and end with grafting for a seamless finish. This cowl features an allover two-color diamond pattern occasionally broken up by strong graphic bands of a different version of that pattern. The tube construction makes a doubled fabric that is extra warm.

Yarn Weight 2
Finished Size 55” circumference and 6 ½ “ tall.
Yarn Green Mountain Spinnery Simply Fine (60% wool, 40% fine kid mohair; 450 yd 412 m/31/2 oz 100 g): natural dark (MC), 2 skeins; azalea (CC), 1 skein.
Needles Size 3 (3.25 mm): 16” circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); 3 removable m; size D/3 (3.25 mm) crochet hook; smooth waste yarn in contrasting color for provisional CO; spare size 3 (3.25 mm) or smaller 16” cir needle for grafting; tapestry needle.
Gauge 26 sts and 30 rnds = 4” in charted patt.
