Basanti: A Mehndi Inspired Barefoot Sandal
by Lior Carlson
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
This is my second barefoot sandal pattern inspired by an actual mehndi design, also known as henna tattoo art. The design is worked in 13 rounds with a toe and ankle strap incorporated into the last round. A twist in both straps is worked (photo tutorial provided) as it is crocheted to allow it to lay flat when criss-crossed and worn. Designed to fit most women’s feet. Basanti is a girl’s name meaning “Season of Spring”.
