Pattern Description

This is the basic pattern for the horses in the book. Refer to this pattern when knitting them.

Yarn Requirements

• Horse--a DK weight wool, cotton, or mixed-fiber yarn
• Muzzle and hooves--DK weight wool, cotton or fixed fiber yarn
• Mane and tail--lightweight mohair

Additional Materials

• Felt scraps in 3 colors for outer and inner eyes and nostrils
• Stranded cotton embroidery thread for sewing on eyes and nostrils
• Polyester toy stuffing
