A relatively easy knit with a textured pattern on leg and top of foot. A chart as well as written instructions are included for textured section. The socks are top down with instructions for heel flap, gusset and rounded toe requiring only 4 stitches to kitchener at the end.

Sizes for cast on as follows: 48, 56, 64, or 72 stitches.

Try a modification: Knit textured pattern on the leg only and continue with stockinette throughout once the heel is started.

Although the instructions are thorough, this pattern is not recommended for the first time sock knitter. However, after knitting a few pairs of simple plain vanilla socks, this is absolutely a good first time textured sock pattern.
