Basketweave Vest
Slip stitch (and mosaic) patterns make working with color easy - you work with only 1 color per row. The basketweave mosaic pattern used for this vest is deceptively simple to work - it’s one of those “get a lot of bang for your buck” patterns. (That means the end result looks incredibly
complicated, but in reality is easy to work. This allows you to blush appropriately when your friends marvel at your knitting prowess.) The sweater is worked in one piece from side-to-side, with an I-cord trim worked 3 times around the perimeter of the vest. The shoulder seam (which is the only seam in the vest) sports an I-cord worked in conjunction with the 3-needle bind off. The pattern includes neck and armhole shaping charts for each size, and detailed instructions on how
to work the different I-cords used in the vest.
