Bavarian Beanie
Lois S. Young was inspired by Bavarian knitting to create this hat, which borrows its stitch patterns from folk stockings.

MATERIALS
• 1 3 1/2oz/100g hank (each approx 220yd/201m) Universal Deluxe Worsted (wool) in #111835 purple YARN WT = 4
• One size 7 (4.5mm) circular needle, 16”/40cm long OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• One set (5) size 7 (4.5mm) double-pointed needles (dpns)
• Cable needle (cn)
• Stitch marker

GAUGE
26 sts and 25 rnds = 4”/10cm over chart pat using size 7 (4.5mm) needle (after blocking).
