Notes on Construction
The Bay Breeze Cocktail Dress is constructed in two panels; front and back. Each panel begins with the ribbed waistband and then the bottom skirt and top section are worked off of the top and bottom edges of the waistband. Both panels are then seamed together. The sleeve openings and neck are then finished with simple single crochet stitches. A length of i-cord, or a belt, will be made and belt loops will be added.

This gauge changes as you are working the design, due to the cinched nature of the waistband. This will be the gauge for a flat swatch, or towards the bottom of your skirt.
