A Tunisian crochet blanket on the bias made with a DK mini set held double for a modern yet traditional baby blanket

This blanket was named for the beach vibe of the blanket when a mini set is held double with a coordinating solid. For this blanket, I used the Terracotta mini set from Hue Loco and held double with bare yarn. With the added bare yarn, it transformed the palette to beach vibes. And my main thought while crocheting it was “this is for a beach baby” so the Beach Baby Baby Blanket was dubbed the name.

Using a 11.5mm Tunisian crochet hook for the body of the blanket and a 9 mm hook for the border, this blanket works up quickly and satisfyingly.

Yarn is held double throughout - pick out a DK mini set and a coordinating solid for a fun baby blanket.

With strategically placed stitches, this blanket has additional texture without having to stress over repeats or counting.

Such a fun blanket, I can’t wait to see what colors you pick out when you make your Beach Baby Baby!
