Construction is top-down beginning with a provisional cast on of the back stitches. The back neck is shaped with short rows, and the back is worked back and forth with shaping down to the underarms. Stitches for the front straps are picked up from the provisional cast on and the front neck and armholes are shaped. At the underarm, the body is joined to be worked in the round downward.

Size: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9)
Finished measurements:
Bust Circumference: 30 (32, 34, 36, 40) (44, 48, 52, 56)” / 76 (81, 86.5, 91.5, 101.5) (112, 122, 132, 142) cm.
Suggested ease: -2 to +3 inches at bust. Choose a size that is 2”/ 5 cm smaller to 3” / 7.5 cm bigger than your actual bust size. Sample shown in size 3 with 1”/ 2.5 cm of positive ease.

Yarn:
Best worked in heavy fingering or sport weight yarn in several colors or just one color.
The sample shown was knit in Cape May Fiber’s Merino Cashmere Nylon Sock (75% Superwash Merino, 15% Nylon, 10% Cashmere) in Natural (A) – one 370 yd/ 100g skein.
and MCN Beach Ballin’ Mini Skien Set (5 colors (B) – (F) - 80 yds per each 20g skein): 1 (1, 1, 2, 2) (2, 2, 2, 2) sets required.

Approximate yarn amounts:
110 (120, 131, 142, 160) (180, 204, 226, 250) grams / 440 (480, 524, 568) (720, 816, 904, 1000) total yards

Color A 27 (29, 31, 34, 39) (44, 49, 54, 60) grams / 108 (116, 124, 136, 156) (176, 196, 216, 240) yards
Colors B - F: 17 (18, 20, 22, 24) (27, 31, 34.5, 38) grams / 66 (73, 80, 87, 97) (109, 124, 138, 152) yards per color

Note: if using a different number of colors than I did, simply divide the total yardage by the number of colors used to estimate your yardage requirements per color. For simplicity, it is recommended that you do not do too many color changes prior to the underarm join to minimize having to use the sliding technique (described on next page) while shaping and working the pattern.

The yarn amounts shown are estimates and could vary depending on the weight and type of yarn fiber used as well as personal tension.
