Beachsand
Beachsand is a crescent shawl featuring an overlapping cable and lace motif worked in a beautifully speckled yarn. The two motifs are first worked separately, then they overlap as you work down the shawl, culminating in an elegant scalloped border.
Should you have less yarn, or a more variegated yarn, I have included instructions to work a shawl featuring only half the depth of lace illustrated above. This can be made of a similar size, or a smaller size with less yarn.
Yarn
I used Miss la Motte, lace weight singles in the beautiful colourway Beachsand, but any lace weight skein of 600 metres in length would be ideal.
Please note: The yarn listed in the field above is a fingering weight yarn. I DID however use a lace weight singles yarn, measuring 620 metres / 656 yards per 100 grams. It is available from Miss la Motte, but is not listed in the Ravelry database
