The Bonnet should end with 4 (not 5) rows of V-st decreases, then the edging row. For bonnet, eliminate Row 9 (9, 10) on both pattern and diagram. Beanie pattern is correct, but ignore the row numbers (and implied skipping of Rows) on the beanie diagram. Apologies for the error!
Pattern includes both beanie and bonnet variations in all three sizes.
Although yarn is classified as an aran weight, in my opinion worsted (CYCA 4) yarns will substitute better--for crochet purposes. Do a gauge swatch to be sure.
