Beantown Mittens for 18" Dolls
Your doll’s little fingers will be toasty warm for a stroll to her favorite local café in these tiny fair isle mittens. The stranded color-work pattern is very simple with short repeats, and creates the look of tiny roasted coffee beans. Don’t worry about losing one along the way- add a crochet chain strand to connect the mittens through her coat sleeves to prevent a lost mitten.
This pattern is classified as Advanced due to the tricky task of working in the round on such small needles, especially with colorwork. Other than the fair isle colorwork, there aren’t any advanced techniques used in the pattern, just basic increases and decreases.
The pattern includes charts, but also has the colorwork instructions written out so that it can be completed without the use of charts.
This PDF knitting pattern is designed to fit 18” dolls such as American Girl®.
