This is a pattern for a Bear applique which is 6 “ X 6” (not including the ears) they can be sewn to just about anything and is a great scrap buster. I can hardly wait to see what colour combos you come up with :)

The paw prints are also a fun little project that you can whip up really quickly. They can also be sewn to just about anything as well, let your imagination run wild :) . The toes are 3/4 “ of an inch and the foot pad measures 1 and 1/2 “ across.

You could always increase or decrease the size of the appliques, depending on the yarn and hook that you choose to use :)

You will need small amounts of yarn to complete your projects, a main and contrasting colour . I used DK weight yarn and a 3.5 mm hook

You will also need the following:
8 mm safety eyes * of course you could always crochet the eyes and nose, I am unfortunately not that talented :) keep in mind if you use the safety eyes and nose , you should crochet a double thickness panel to sew over the backs of the eyes and nose , so they dont poke your loved one.
12 mm triangular safety nose
tapestry needle

You will need to know the following stitches to complete your projects:
sc, hdc, dc, tr , increase and decrease and also how to sew pieces together

This pattern is 6 pages long and contains detailed instructions and photos to help you along the way. I am always available by email if you should have any questions :)

This pattern is written using standard US crochet terms

The usual copyright conditions apply :)

Thanks for stopping by and happy hooking :)

P.S. One of the photos is a baby blanket and that pattern is also available separately (which includes directions for the appliques, so if you are in the market for a baby afghan, you may want to consider buying that pattern instead, better bang for your buck:)
